Petr Tulpa was born in 1958 in Vsetin. He is a Czech educator and politician. In the years 2006-2010 he was the mayor of Jablonec nad Nisou, currently he is a councilor and member of the board of the Liberec Region and deputy hetman.
In the years 1982-1989 he was a member of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. In 2022, he successfully ran for the city council of Jablonec nad Nisou as an independent candidate. In the years 2008-2010 he successfully ran for the city council, at the same time he was also the mayor.
Since 2012, he has been a member of the Mayors for the Liberec Region group. In the 2016 and 2020 elections, he became a member of the board of the Liberec Region and a councilor of the Liberec Region. In the 2021 elections, he ran for the Parliament as a representative of the Pirates and Mayors coalition.
