Ivana Poslon Hrvoj

For over 13 years Ivana worked for a self-advocacy non-profit organization of persons with intellectual disabilities in Zagreb, Croatia. As a self-advocacy officer, she has gained deeper understanding and knowledge, supporting persons with intellectual disabilities in their advocacy efforts aimed to improve their position in the society. She has been involved in efforts related to the Voting Rights Act 2012 and changing legal situation for persons deprived of legal capacity, participated in the deinstitutionalization process and in the development of the self-advocacy network in Croatia, Serbia and North Macedonia. For the last 3 years, she has worked at the Center for Rehabilitation Zagreb as a social worker within the Mobile Expert Team in charge of developing the new Short Breaks Service in Croatia.
