The International Short Breaks Conference (ISBA) is aimed at those who provide, use, or need respite care/short break services. This topic will be addressed through presentations and workshops conducted by representatives of institutions, policymakers, researchers, volunteers, and caregivers.
The main objective of the ISBA Conference is to comprehensively and cross-sectionally understand the needs and supports of caregivers and their families. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore and develop innovative and personalized approaches to "respite care."
Through this conference, we aim to foster the exchange of knowledge and experiences to improve the quality of life for both those who receive care and those who provide it.
Caring is preserving life: Inspiring Chile and the World in supporting caregivers.
"At some point in our lives, we all need or will need to be cared for. Therefore, it is essential to delve into the world of caregiving, to understand the realities of those who dedicate themselves to this work with dedication, and to learn to respect the rights of those who are cared for, as well as to care for those who provide care.
Attending ISBA 2023 in Poland was a wonderful experience. We had the opportunity to learn about practices and initiatives from different cultures, as well as innovative ideas that enrich the caregiving ecosystem.
In 2025, this experience will be even more significant, as it will be held in a Latin American country for the first time. We cordially invite you to join us in Chile, where we can share knowledge. It will be a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of caregiving on a global scale.
We look forward to seeing you in Chile in 2025!"
